Mountain Ritt Raksjaure

Join Fjällhästen on a two days long mountain ride into Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve. We spend the night two nights in Fjällhästens comfortable long hut at the lake Tjaskal with dinners prepared with local produce. During the second day we ride up above the tree line at the elongated mountain Stuore Yep the mountain lake Raksjaure where we take a short break and then return to Tjaskal. A ride with a lot of mountain experience for both the van as above riders.

Departures 2010: Departs after agreement between 4/6-10/10.


Programs

Day 1: Arrival at Ammarnäs for lunch. After lunch we will go over equipment, itinerary and packing personal equipment pack rolls (which you borrow from Fjällhästen). Then we select horses and prepare for departure to Fjällhästens showed in Tjaskal about 8 km ride. While dinner cooked is time to relax and if you are interested in fishing, arctic char and trout are found in the lake. Day 2: After a good night's sleep, we eat a hearty breakfast and saddles on the horses and ride up the mountain Gieråive and further out on Stuore Yep. Below us lies bird protection zone Marsivagge. There are plenty of Long-tailed Jaeger, rough-legged buzzard and sometimes proves even the golden eagle. One or other of pure curiosity tends to follow us at a comfortable distance. Arrived at the lake Raksjaure we let the horses rest, and we ourselves are eating our lunch, joining package of gakku-traditional Lappish bread. After about an hour's break, it's time to turn back towards Tjaskal for dinner and overnight. During the day, we have tried tölt, Icelandic horse gaits fourth and perhaps an occasional gallop on those who wish. Featured ridsträcka is about 25 km.

Day 3: After breakfast, saddle the horse again, and the fruits of the bottom to Ammarnäs. When the weather is nice to get over Näsberget top and gaze out over the river, and Ammarnäs.
